Last night Keith and I had date night on our patio! We grilled burgers and listened to music. It was great! I made a fun new burger recipe that I have been itching to try and it did not disappoint! I made a few tweaks…
CHEDDAR RANCH BURGERS
- 16 ounces ground turkey breast or lean ground beef (I used 98/2 lean ground beef)
- 1 packet ranch dry dressing mix (I used 2 Tbsp dried onion flakes)
- 1 cup Kraft FF shredded cheese
- ¼ green onions
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl and then make 4 patties. Grill about 6-7 minutes on each side.

We finished the night with fro-yo and we might have eaten a few of those gluten free cupcakes from earlier! 😉 We also watched the movie Brothers and we both really liked it. Well, I liked it more than Keith but I love Natalie Portman so I was biased from the start! All in all date night was a huge success!

Aren’t date nights great? They don’t happen here very often unfortunately. But we did have one friday night, we went to watch a movie and got a bite to eat. Our saturday night was uneventful. Burgers look yummy
We spent our Sat night driving back from my in-laws in PA so we didn’t do anything crazy but it was still a relaxing night. I love date night and home cooked meals 🙂

Sounds like a great date night. My hubs just got back from CA yesterday and because he had taken the red-eye he slept most of yesterday…nice to have him home…ha ha 😉

Ahhh, grilling out on a patio sounds like HEAVEN. I can’t even find a way to move out of my teeny apartment, let alone score a backyard! Yeah, I think it will be at least 10 more years until I have one. Unless I move from crazy NYC, that is!

After your post yesterday about making burgers, I went for a walk and saw my neighbors firing up their grill, so I decided to do the same…my propane ran out after just 2 minutes. Sad night.
