About

My name is Kelly and I am 29 years old with a HUGE passion for Healthy Living! I live in Austin, Texas with my husband of almost 4 years, Keith. I graduated in 2003 from Texas A&M University with a business degree in Human Resource Management and soon realized that the corporate life was not for me. Knowing my passion for health and fitness I decided to make a change and really go after what I wanted most in life. I have my personal training license from The American Fitness Training of Athletics (AFTA) and my Nutrition Manager certification from The American Academy of Sports Dietitians and Nutritionists (AASDN). My passion is to show people that healthy living can be a lifestyle that is obtainable and not a sacrifice. After getting my nutrition manager certification I realized that a lot of people out there are willing to make the necessary nutritional changes yet they simply don’t know how. Nutrition can get very scientific and be very confusing causing most people to just throw up their hands in disgust. My mission is to be the bridge between the science and the everyday life. I want to help people see that eating healthy is easy, fun and best of all it can taste REALLY good!

I am an avid runner and have been running my entire life. I truly love it. I think my love of running comes from the fact that I have the worst eye-hand coordination ever! So any sport that involved a ball didn’t really work for me. Running was the only thing I could do and was good at! I run almost everyday (usually between 55 and 60 miles a week) first thing in the morning. It grounds me and sets the tone for the entire day. It is the time when I can be me and reflect…call it my version of meditation. When I run I feel the most at ease. I have currently run 4 half marathons and 1 full marathon. I qualified for the ING New York City Marathon this November and then my sights are set on Boston!

Keith (also known simply as “the hubs”) is a certified personal trainer as well and also has specializations in childhood excercise and lifestyle coaching. We both care passionately about healthy living and showing people that eating well and being active is not a chore but a fun and easy way to live.

I also write for The Examiner and you can click on my ‘How I WRITE’ tab to see links to my articles! Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

I LOVE Austin. Such a cool city! My best friend lives there (she used to run too..I thought she was crazy. ;-). My hubby and I always talk about moving there b/c So Cal is so expensive. That’s great you and your hubby are both into, really into, healthy living. My husband is a video and web guy but he does like to work out. He recently let me start training him in kettlebells and he is loving it.

  23. My name I Lisa Daily and I found you on The Open Sky Project. I have filled out the paper work to become a supplier and I have spoken with representatives at The Open Sky Project. Due to the overwhelming response they had this morning from the coverage on Good Morning America they are unsure of how long it is going to take to get new suppliers set up. They suggested that I go ahead and contact sellers on their site.

I have developed a line of interactive exercise and physical therapy equipment. Our mini exercise bikes are made with the highest quality components. The vast majority of mini cycles use friction resistance. This often leads to jerky pedal motion that can be hard on your joints and tendons. Our bikes use magnetic resistance for ultra-smooth pedal motion in both directions. We have the highest quality mini exercise bike on the market and we guarantee it!

Our best seller is our TherapyCycle PC. Exercise and Physical Therapy can become boring. The TherapyCycle PC puts fun back in your routine. Plug the TherapyCycle PC into the USB port of a computer and the bike becomes interactive with PC games and virtual reality worlds. The pedal motion of the bike controls the speed and movement of the character or vehicle in the game. This is product that can be used by the entire family. Adults and kids LOVE IT! Users find that they work out harder and longer because they forget that they are exercising and get into the games they are playing. The software that comes with the TherapyCycle PC keeps a detailed log of every workout.

We have a new line of products that will be released in the next month. These products are going to be a very big hit. They are fun, high tech and there is NOTHING like them on the market. I will be happy to tell you about them over the phone. I knew we were really on to something when Sony flew their representative over to try to buy the product and the patents before we could put them on the market!

You are welcome to go to my website at http://www.therapytrainer.com and look at the products. I would love to talk to you about your selling my products on your site. If you are interested please contact me at your earliest convenience.

  24. Love your Blog!

Thanks so much for all of the great info you have shared. I just started a blog and wanted to thank you again for the inspiration!
