Happy Friday kids! We made it…we made it! How many of you are working today? I am…but not much. Just a few sessions this morning and then I do have PT at noon. But then hello weekend! 🙂 And note to self: do not schedule errands after PT…remember Wednesday?
Workout this morning was good…how about 8 miles and a SMILE! Or even better how about 8 miles at 8:32/pace and a BIGGER SMILE! I feel like I am slowly but surely getting back to where I was. I have learned the importance of ice and foam rolling. Both have become constant companions in my life! 🙂
What are you doing to celebrate the 4th? Here is a rundown of my plans for the next few days. I am so excited:
- Tonight = NO PLANS! Keith and I are going to be big chill out bums and enjoy the fact that Direct TV has given us Showtime free for one month! (Yes…we’re exciting. Please try to control your jealousy)
- Saturday my dad is throwing a birthday party for my grandpa. He is 89 and one of the healthiest human beings alive. He regularly plays racquetball with people 30 years younger than he…I hope I am as healthy when I am pushing 90.
- Sunday (JULY 4TH) Keith and I are having Jeff (my PT) and his wife and son over for a BBQ. We really like Jeff a lot and have really gotten to know him on a social level. So this will be fun. Stayed tuned because I will have a semi-big announcement regarding Jeff on Monday! (such a tease I am!) And no I am not quitting PT anytime soon, so that isn’t it! 🙂
- Monday (technically not the weekend I know…but lots of people have off) Hilary and I are going to go see Eclipse! I CAN NOT WAIT!

Random question. But yesterday while reading Fit At Heart, Jennifer asked how we like our eggs. I started thinking that honestly I only like my eggs 1 of 2 ways: either over-easy or hard-boiled. Both are the extreme form of the cooking method. One is one step up from raw while the other is totally cooked 100% completely through. And yet I don’t really like eggs cooked anywhere in between.
Do have any foods that you like prepared only to extremes?
