I’ve Got a Feelin…

That Wednesday is going to ROCK! Yes…you heard me…the self proclaimed Wednesday-hater is saying for the world to hear that WEDNESDAY IS GONNA ROCK! 🙂 Nothing like a little positive though to lift you up, right?!

This morning has been nice…I rocked out 8 miles on the treadmill (3 miles @7.0; 4 miles @7.1; 1 mile @7.2 all with a 1% incline) followed with 20 minutes on the elliptical. I needed to work out some Body Pump soreness! I am drinking some coffee and re-fueling on an egg scramble and a ginormous bowl of blueberry oatbran! Ah…insert BIG SMILE! Then I am headed off to meet my running group for a 2 mile run. Woot! Woot!

Workout OVAH!

Dinner last night was an old classic! It was my Turkey Enchilada Casserole! This is so good and one I haven’t made in quite a while so it was nice to bring it back! 🙂 Note about this recipe…it says that it serves 6 but you could easily get 8 servings out of this! Easily!

Enchilada Goodness

In honor of making Wednesday a HAPPY DAY I am leaving you with some awesome inspirational quotes:

  • The great thing in this world is not where we are but the direction in which we are moving
  • One day I will not be able to do this; today is NOT that day
  • It  is never too late to become what you might have been
  • What is one of your favorite motivational quotes?

Come back this afternoon for Work It Out Wednesday with Keith. There are going to be more kettlebell videos and demonstrations for cleans and snatches…look out! 🙂

This quote helps me when my bed seems oh so warm, or I just want to go home and watch tv and veg…

“Remember, the feeling you get from a good run is far better than the feeling you get from sitting around wishing you were running.” Sarah Condor

    8. Awesome way to start out your Wednesday!

I like the quote “To be good is not enough when you dream of being great.” No idea who said it. But it gets me through some tired/stressful days…

    9. Here’s my life motto (seriously, has been since I was like 16):

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I hope I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, ‘I used everything You gave me.'” –Erma Bombeck

      Great workout… NOT surprised. 🙂

    15. Dude, I make a very similar casserole called “Taco Pie”. It’s also DELICIOUS!! And rather healthy!

As I was running (sprinting) this morning, I was thinking “Pain is temporary, quitting is forever”.

    19. You look way too happy and excited for having just finished 8 miles on a treadmill.

I have a few favorite quotes.

This one was printed on the first half marathon training schedule I ever printed and it stuck with me.

“Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired.” – George Patton

And this one from Lost (which you really should watch by the way).

“You see this little hole? This moth’s just about to emerge. It’s in there right now, struggling. It’s digging its way through the thick hide of the cocoon. Now, I could help it, take my knife, gently widen the opening, and the moth would be free. But it would be too weak to survive. The struggle is nature’s way of strengthening it.” – John Locke

And, of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a Star Wars quote.

“Try not. Do… or do not. There is no try.” – Yoda

    20. I can’t say that I have a favorite motivational quote. I need to work on that. I did wake up this morning with the “I can” attitude. I am really working on staying positive since it is so easy to get down in the dumps! Oh, and wow that enchilada casserole looks so good!!!
