Our good friends, John and Maria, just added baby number 3 to their perfect family! (10 days ago to be exact!) Baby Dylan is ADORABLE and Maria (if you are actually finding time to read this) you look FABULOUS!! Maria is a huge fan of my Peanut Butter and Jelly Muffins so in an effort to help the tired mama out I baked her my Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Bread! This is so good and I had a hard time keeping mine Keith’s hands off of it! 🙂
GLUTEN FREE PEANUT BUTTER BREAD
- 2 cups all-purpose gluten-free flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk (I use unsweetened almond milk)
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- banana slices for garnish, optional
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add egg, milk and peanut butter; stir just until moistened. Pour into a greased loaf pan and garnish with banana slices (if using).
Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Do you have a “go-to” dish to make for friends?

Oh that bread looks awesome. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
I love making chocolate chip cookies for friends (not just ordinary ones) or sometimes I’ll make hummus or vegan cookies. When we go away I love to bring things to family and friends that I like to eat (selfishly haha)
yummm that looks so good! I usually make flour-less peanut butter cookies, everyone loves them!
That bread sounds so good! I need to find more good gluten free flours. Do you use surghum? I know Bob’s Red Mill makes a lot and if I tried one that’d be it
I used Bob Red Mill…it is my favorite!!
Oh that is so sweet of you. I always try to cook for my friends when they have a baby to help them out.. last year I had 15 of them have a baby within a few days of each other… So I was a busy friend cooking like a mad woman… lol
My to go to dish is Lasagna.. everyone loves it, it reheats really well and I can make batches all at once (specially if you are feeding multiple families 🙂 )
What a good friend you are!! Looks yummy 🙂
Uhhhhh…. WOW, I can’t think of the last time I made anything for friends that was food. Will go hide my head in shame. I love the way you put the banana coins in the bread!
Okie dokie, you twisted my arm, I will be making this ASAP!!!!!!!! Yummmmmmmy!! 🙂 I know your friend will LOVE it!!
Peanut butter BREAD?!! YUM!!! I want to make this RIGHT NOW!!! 🙂
wholly yum Kelly! I must try this ASAP.
YES! James will LOVE it!! 🙂
I love cooking/baking for my friends when they have babies!!
Love this recipe!
Oh yum that looks delicious! I haven’t had any friends have babies yet, but when I do I’ll have to think of some yummy food to make them. Maybe expresso brownies haha- keep them awake!
Espresso brownies…yum!
Sounds like incentive 🙂
Ummm can I have some? Or do only people who have gone through labor get this? If so, I guess i’ll be waiting a few years.
Gah, you’re killing me here. I have to get through the second batch of your cookies, and this is on deck!
OMG so cute, little babies are my faveee! dylan is a great name. nice nanna bread, reminds me i should have a slice of the one i made this weekend mmm
This bread sounds so good, and yet, it looks so easy!
My go to cookies are Peanut Butter Kiss cookies.
Oh how yummy! What a lucky friend you have!!!
holy crap. that looks good. does it taste peanut buttery enough?? I might have to make this.
My go to recipe is chocolate chip cookies. The recipe I use calls for jello pudding mix…they come out SO SOFT it’s amazing.

Our breads could be twins!!!!!
mine is vegan though 🙂 OMG great minds think alike!!!!!!
That looks SO good!!
I dont have a go-to dish, but thats because Im not nice enough to make food for my friends. Im not even going to lie about it.
When I worked at the bank though, we used to have bake sales all the time. I always made my Grandma’s lemon loaf. Its pretty much the best thing ever!
Kelly this looks so so delicious!! I love the banana garnish! I’m going to make it this week! Your friend will be so happy!
My go to recipe is a big batch of Congo Bars. It’s by far my most popular dessert and I’ve made them so many times that it’s just a cinch!
Have a great Wednesday!!
GIRL that looks delish!!!! i love fresh naner bread!
I’m so glad I saw this!
I have no idea about baking bread, but I have said for the past 3 months that I want to experiment with that during my summer break from school. I do not have a bread machine so I’m glad I see that I don’t have to have one. That looks amazing!
My go-to is a baby-food spice cake. I use half the amount of oil and sugar by using natural applesauce. It’s extremely moist and flavorful. I also do a quick poppy seed chicken.
Why have I never heard of (or thought of!) peanut butter bread. Holy yum! I usually make soups for friends. 🙂 Boring but easy.
Oooooo my goodness……can I come over? I will be there in 10!
This looks so great! Question, could I use a flax egg in replacement? And agave instead of sugar??
XXOO
wow- lucky friends of yours!! haha
xoxo

Oh…HELLO! I heart peanut butter so that bread looks TAS-TY! Yummers.
Go to meals, probably my balsamic and honey glazed chicken with couscous. I guess that’s if I have company over.
That looks great.
I make a avocado feta salsa that people always like. It’s from allrecipes.com.
In love with this recipe. I love banana bread but have never thought to add PB to the mix!
My coworkers have been begging me to bake a sweet bread.. this one sounds delicious!! I think a little PB would taste fantastic in just about anything!
Totally agree!!! 🙂
